The Secret Garden

This past Saturday wonderful Karl got us access to one of Matt Corby's secret garden shows in Luddenham. We were both so excited to go though not as excited as we were when we found out that one of the supports had pulled out and Karl was asked to play instead! The setting was beautiful - a gigantic willow tree filled with dream catchers and fairy lights, the perfect backdrop for the evening that was to be had. Not only did amazing music fill my ears but we also met many lovely people including a wonderful girl who actually lived on the property. Her name is Annette and she probably takes some of the most beautiful photos that I have ever seen, somehow she just captures every moment perfectly without the subjects of the photo even noticing so you should definitely check out her blog here!! Above are a few snapshots of the night, and below is a video I shot of Karl playing on the night!! This past Saturday my pony and I competed in our first show in over four years. I'm not one for early starts but I was so excited that getting up at 6am did not bother me one bit! It felt so good to be back competing in the horsey world and princess Kally performed perfectly on the day! We even came home with 'Reserve Champion Purebred Arabian Mare' which I think is pretty good for a duo that has only been back in work for the past three months! Sorry dear blog world, it has been a while. I love the email get monthly from sitemetre letting me know that people still view this, though each time I have been feeling a little guilty for not posting. So here's to getting back into posting on a more regular basis!

Life is hella busy at the moment with a new job, my last year of college, interning and a sweet little pony to keep me occupied but I promise I shall post as often as I can! I really need to start taking more photos too! My beautiful camera has been sitting untouched for too long now! In class last week, our teacher told us to make a list of goals for ourselves to reach in the future, and apart from owning a big beautiful horse, the only other thing I really seemed to be able to come up with was to travel! So dear bloggers I'm putting my travel bug goals up on the world wide web for all to see with the intention of reaching them sometime within the next few years *fingers crossed*. First stop: Byron Bay - I figured a lovely roadtrip up the coast over summer would be best to start with. Next I'd love to go to Europe - Europtrip style, heading to London, Paris, Berlin and most of all Amsterdam! All this before heading over to the US to visit New York, LA, San Fransisco and Las Vegas. I realise I am going to need to either rob a bank, or not buy another pair of shoes for a long long time in an attempt to save, so wish me luck!!

To top off a lovely weekend of horseriding in the hunter valley and chills with my Mr Amazing, we headed to a gig that was due to run on the beautiful central coast at Wyong. Due to a series of unfortunate events the gig had to be cancelled though with 100 or so disappointed kids hanging around the boys decided to carry on playing the show at a near by park and it ended up being a lovely afternoon in the sun! I spent today with miss Alex as she showed me around her uni open day (Sydney college of the arts) before visiting the wonderful Rozelle markets. Visiting the uni was actually really inspiring - seeing all the students work in the jewelery and glass departments made me want to sign up for a course right away. Alex showed me some of her clever work (see the glass pendant in photo below) before we headed to the yummy bagel cafe and then the markets. I'm pretty excited as I've had this wonderful idea of expanding this blog into a space for little treasures, both old and new, available for purchase. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. Its that miserable and gloomy time of year when the rain just keeps on pouring down. The rain along with my lack of having a license is keeping me in doors, and as I hide behind the computer screen with my butterfly dog I make lists of all the things I'd like to do, or have done in the near future. I am still desperately wanting/in need of a camera, months of not having one has made me more keen than ever to start taking photos of everything and anything. Id also love some sort of escape from the busy-ness of work, college and interning, a chance to sleep-in after nine and laze around all day - with maybe a spot of shopping on the side. Its crazy how quickly the weeks go when your working almost every-day and yet the days at work seem as though time is not moving at all. For those who actually take the time to view this blog I am deeply sorry for not posting lately, as soon as I have my camera I promise I will update five hundred times more frequently. This past week, Karl and I went on an amazing roadtrip to warrnambool for karl to play a gig and also to visit our dear friend Lenore. It was honestly one of the most amazing weeks ever, and we both wanted to stay forever, sadly we had to come home, but here are some photos from lenores camera of our stay, sadly i lost my camera somewhere along the way, but enjoy!

Though its eighteen days over due, I wish you, the world wide web, a happy and prosperous new year. Twenty ten seems to be going grand for the majority of society, though nothing amazing has touched my life thus far in the year - only a speeding fine leading to loss of license and saying goodbye to teenagehood in approx. 2.5 hours. Im sure some exciting adventures will arise this year, hopefully beginning in two days time with a roadtrip to melbourne with the boyfee as he does some gigs and we visit some lovely people. I also wish to broaden myself in the fashion industry this year *fingers cross that they accept my application for volunteering at l'oreal fashion festival*. So until I've got some photographic memories to share, i shall post some cute photos I found. xo

i went riding this morning, first time in months and months on my friends horse mel, it was so amazing, and just what i needed. when your riding an extension trot across the diagonal it feels just as though your flying, and for the hour or so i rode i forget everything, it was like i were in another world. In other news im avoiding the internet as much as possible as of late. i think people including myself get too wrapped up in the cyber world, and who says what, and it turn it just fucks with your head. so bye for now. xo

The first of September - the start of spring, so crazy this year has gone incredibly fast. Im excited though, because after spring is summer and summer means christmas and birthday times, and amazing holiday adventures and memories :). I cannot wait. I hope spring summer 09/10 brings the bestest of memories. I hope things will be perfect again.

In other news, I bought the latest 'RUSSH' magazine last night, while waiting for karl to go to one of his gigs. And its changed! I here its under new management also, thoughts? xo
