This was written by a friend, I found it really inspiring:
"The past is a guide post, not a hitching post. Waste not fresh tears over old griefs.
People are always asking about the good old days. I say, why don't you say the good now days?
"Old times" never come back and I suppose it's just as well. What comes back is a new morning every day in the year, and that's better.
Opportunities fly by while we sit regretting the chances we have lost, and the happiness that comes to us we heed not, because of the happiness that is gone.
When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.
It is only possible to live happily-ever-after on a day-to-day basis.
We crucify ourselves between two thieves: regret for yesterday and fear of tomorrow.
Life's a journey, not a destination."
